I let it follow the whole upgrade process as Microsoft designed it by reserving a copy of Windows 10 and waiting for it to prompt me that Windows 10 was ready to install. AS part of this process, the checker tells me. It takes a long time on such a slow machine so I cant be sitting next to it for the whole process.
